Driver Training Courses for New Drivers

You must be at least 16 years of age to attend driving theory classes, and it is preferable for you to have your Learner's Licence upon registration. To prepare for your knowledge test you must study the Learn to Drive Smart booklet from ICBC.

Upon successful completion of an ICBC approved Graduated Licensing Program (GLP) the driver will receive a certificate called a Declaration of Completion (DOC) to reduce the Class 7N (novice stage) stage by 6 months. High schools students who complete a GLP program will also qualify for two grade 11 credits.

Please see DOC Requirements for the list of requirements for a DOC. If any one of these requirements are not met, a DOC will not be issued to the student.

GLP Plan One (automatic only):                                          $1,225

  • 18 Hours - Driver Education Theory

  • 12 Hours - In vehicle training (8 x 90 minute lessons)

  • 48 Hours additional practice with a co-pilot in addition to the 12 instructional hours is strongly recommended to be successful in this course.

Plus - 2 Hours - Lesson and road test arrangement in our vehicle $1,383

GLP Plan Two (automatic or standard):                            $1,463

  • 18 Hours - Driver Education Theory

  • 15 Hours - In vehicle training (10 x 90 minute lessons)

  • 45 Hours additional practice with a co-pilot in addition to the 12 instructional hours is strongly recommended to be successful in this course.

Plus - 2 Hours - Lesson and road test arrangement in our vehicle $1,621

GLP Plan Three (automatic or standard):                         $1,699

  • 18 Hours - Driver Education Theory

  • 15 Hours - In vehicle training (12 x 90 minute lessons)

  • 42 Hours additional practice with a co-pilot in addition to the 12 instructional hours is strongly recommended to be successful in this course.

GLP Plan Four (automatic or standard):                           $2,649

  • 30 Hours - In vehicle training (20 x 90 minute lessons)

  • 30 Hours additional practice with a co-pilot in addition to the 12 instructional hours is strongly recommended to be successful in this course.

GLP Plan Five (automatic or standard):                            $5,019

  • 18 Hours - Driver Education Theory

  • 60 Hours - In vehicle training (40 x 90 minute lessons)

  • Additional practice with a co-pilot is not required - we do all the training.

Non-GLP Driver Training Courses

This course does not include the minimum 12 hours of driving instruction required for a GLP Program. No DOC will be issued.
